"Not a thug not a geek, trying to groove just a little"

As the title implies, I find myself somewhere in between persona. I am into certain things like comics,video games, Hip Hop , Science, Pop Culture and it seems that all of these things are considered in contrast to each other. Sure, I could talk to you about my strategies in games like UT3, COD4, Disgaea, KOTOR, or ramble on about why Half Life is my favorite video game series of all time.I could talk to you about The Strange Fruit Project, Little Brother, Talib Kweli, or Queen, Prince, and Michael Jackson. We could talk about Quantum Physics, Chaos Theory, and Philosophy, but we can also talk about fashion trends. I think I am a really well rounded individual. Herein lies the problem. This society has a way of pigeon holeing people and typecasting them into certain roles and I have been a victim of this trend as well as many others. Not only does this reinforce negative attitudes, it perpetuates segregation and stereotypes and hinders us from having a conversation and making a genuine connection. I mean, just think you could look at a person and say oh, he is reading xmen how could I ever relate to him but little do you know, you probably have more in common than you think. I am gonna keep this 1st post short, but the moral of this story is to please, take a moment and not judge a book by it's cover you may be surprised by the content waiting inside. With that said I hope you will enjoy the content I will be putting here regularly because I intend to provoke thought and critical thinking within yourself and amongst peers. Take Care!
